Call For Entry: LPC Photography Exhibition at GWU

LPC Photography Exhibition at GWU
LPC is inviting all members to submit photos for an upcoming exhibition at George Washington University’s Innovation Hall in Ashburn.  The exhibition will run from Friday, June 12, through mid-September (ending date TBD).  There is no subject theme.  All prints must be matted and framed, preferably using black metal frames, and must have a wire hanger.  Prints must be covered (unlike some other venues which require acrylic, GWU does permit glass covers).  Single or double matting is fine; please use a minimum 1.5″ border (all sides) for images up to 8″ x 10″, and a minimum border of 2″ for all larger images.  White mats are preferred.

We can accommodate approximately 50 prints.   There is no size restriction, but works larger than 16″ x 24″ will be accepted only if we still have display space after all smaller-sized works are accounted for.  We will accept one print from each member who commits to provide a print; if we still have unallocated space after May 14, we will accept additional prints from each participant until we have commitments for 50 prints (earlier sign-ups get priority if the available space can’t accommodate multiple prints from every participant).

We will collect your framed prints at LPC meetings on May 14May 28, and June 11.

To participate, please send the following information to Jim Norman at
jgnorman2012@me.com —

• Your name and contact information — email and telephone.
• How many framed prints would you like to provide?
• The framed size of each print.

Once we have a solid idea of how many members will participate, we will collect additional information on each artist and each print to include in an exhibition catalog.  A reception will be scheduled at some point during the exhibition.  We will provide additional information as we firm up our plans.
