Over the years the Conowingo Dam Md. across the Susquehanna has attracted more and more photographer from across the country. It has become a great viewing spot for birders and photographers alike during the bald Eagle migration season. Hopefully the eagles will be there come Nov 8th when this trip is planned. As always, if you’ve done any wildlife photography, it’s a matter of catch-as-catch-can. With this in mind just plan on having fun with fellow photographers. Plan on meeting at the Herndon Park and ride.(12530 Sunrise Valley Dr, Herndon, VA 20191) at 0545hrs.(lower parking area to the left as you enter from Sunrise Valley Dr.) Its best to car pool. Its a 1:45-2:00 hour drive. Plan on making a picnic out of the trip, (bring coffee in a thermos, sandwiches, drinks, or whatever you want to eat). There are picnic benches but we can also tailgate.
