“The Use of Textures to Create a Memorable Image”
Denise will discuss the uses of textures to craft a memorable image why, when, and how. Denise will explain how texture can contribute to the message and mood of a photo, and will demonstrate different techniques to blend textures to help you transform a photo from an unprocessed capture into an engaging, balanced, and pleasing final image. Below are two examples how effective this technique can be. Join us October 9 to to learn how you can apply this technique to your own work.
About Denise Silva
For me, photography is an extension of who I am and has been for a very long time. I find it meditative, creative, challenging, and rewarding from the associated travel through the visualization of a composition to the post processing and production of the final image. I can honestly say that my passion is to capture everything I see. I enjoy the natural world, with endless landscapes, waterscapes, and animal wonders, but am just as likely to be found roaming the city shooting street scenes, people, and “urban-cityscapes.”
One aspect of photography that I enjoy the most is sharing the experience with friends. Traveling with, shooting with, comparing with friends keeps me motivated and excited about photography, as I am constantly learning new things. To me, these experiences are inspirational and I believe they can elevate each participant’s photography to the next level.
As I have always been the trip planner in the family, leading photography tours is a natural extension of my favorite past-times. Over the years, I have organized, planned, mapped out, and led photography tours for friends and family. This past year, Don Rosenberger and I have been planning and leading tours for friends; these friends, in turn, encouraged us to start a photography tour business. With similar passions for photography and interests, we decided to take the challenge on together and created Road Runner Photography Tours.
I look forward to sharing my passion for photography with you and know that our tours will not only take you to great places, but give you an opportunity to build your network of photography friends while enhancing your photography skills through experience and knowledge sharing in a supportive environment. There is no better place to learn and develop your skills than in the field!
