LPC Speaker Night 4/10/2014 : Denise Silva, “Composition”

“PLEASE NOTE: OUR MEETING WILL BE HELD IN EXPLORER HALL ROOM 410 UPSTAIRS RATHER THAN OUR USUAL ROOM 101”

Hello Everyone,

Our recent past president, Denise Silva, will be our speaker on Thursday April 10. Denise is a long time member of Loudoun Photo Club and was the president for 4 years. She spent a number of years on the board of Nature Visions Expo, including in the role of VP. This past year, Denise and Don Rosenberger started a photography tour business. With similar passions for their interests in photography, they decided to take the challenge on together and create Road Runner Photography Tours.

Denise says:
“For me, photography is an extension of who I am and has been for a very long time. I find it meditative, creative, challenging, and rewarding from the associated travel through the visualization of a composition to the post processing and production of the final image. I can honestly say that my passion is to capture everything I see. I enjoy the natural world, with endless landscapes, waterscapes, and animal wonders, but am just as likely to be found roaming the city shooting street scenes, people, and urban-cityscapes.”

Denise will be presenting a program on Composition which will cover the rules of composition and when to break them. She will show how to make stronger images by reviewing the rules, as well as showing examples of both failures and successful images.

I hope to see you all there!

Stay in Focus,
Carol
