Location: GWU Ashburn Campus, Exploration Hall, Rm 101

Jeff Smallwood is the immediate past president of Calvert Photography Club in Maryland. Jeff will discuss “Planning The Shot”.  He will also use many of his photos to illustrate the importance of planning.

Jeff says  “I’m a photographer, engineer, and self-proclaimed “geek” who works primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States, including Southern Maryland and the Chesapeake Bay area. My photographic work covers a wide range of styles and techniques, including black & white, long exposures, portraits, landscapes/seascapes, and macro to name a few. My favorite and primary scenic shooting locations focus on the Chesapeake Bay watershed, from the mountains of the Appalachians and Shenandoah to the rivers and shorelines along the Bay itself.
