There will be an exhibit at the Fairfax County Government Center of previously shown Meadowlark Photo Expo images. Any image that was accepted into Meadowlark is allowed.
NOTE: Prints must be matted and framed for exhibit (using most likely the wire hangers not saw tooth hangers). Participants will probably have to hang their own images since they’ll be framed with glass.
Check back as the date approaches – we will have more info about how to submit your prints.
This is the date that judging will actually take place for the Meadowlark Photo Expo (nature photography expo at Meadowlark Gardens). We, LPC, will collect images PRIOR to this date, most likely the meeting just before this date.

We are having a great season already! Our first meeting went very well, with as many new folks as returning folks. We hope to see you all again at our next meeting. For those of you not on our Yahoo Group yet, please feel free to join. It’s open to everyone and it’s free. Lots of good info is shared: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/LoudounPhotographyClub/join
Our first annual Claude Moore Park Photography Expo went very well and looked great! Thanks, Bob Pierce, for the photo. And thank you to all who volunteered at the event, Bob B, Pini, Joe, Charles, Bob P, Nancy, Geff, Charlotte, Emily, Oscar, Abigail, and anyone I missed.
Welcome members and soon-to-be members. Our 2007-2008 season has already begun with a bang! We had over 100 entries for our 1st annual Claude Moore Park Photo Expo. Wonderful turnout, even at our ‘BME’ matting party on August 30th, where over 15 of us matted entries and learned how to cut mats with Charles’ help.
Our first meeting of the season will be on Sept 13th. To keep things interesting, our first meeting will be a Member Night instead of a speaker. So members, come one, come all and show off your latest masterpieces or bring works-in-progress for feedback. And I’m sure the great conversation will flow.
Oh, and we’ll have pizza to go with our pictures.

Mr. Taylor has judged for us before, a few years ago, and did a superb job.
Theme is “Nature”:
Images that illustrate the natural features of land, sea, or sky, or that reveal certain natural phenomena such as cloud formations, precipitation, frost, fire, or which depict wildlife. The hand of man may be present as long as it enhances the theme of nature rather than detract. Examples include a small boat in a large lake, a fence in a distance, a path, etc.
*Please note that “detracting” hand of man in an image will be left to the judge’s discretion.
