Nikhil will discuss different techniques to achieve various effects when photographing water.
If you are a photographer that likes to interpret the same scene a different way then you will definitely appreciate the creative possibilities when photographing water. Nikhil’s presentation will cover techniques and ideas from different ways of photographing reflections to how changing the shutter speed affects the rendition of your photograph. Long exposures and the best times of day for the desired effect will also be discussed.

Join us for the 2009-2010 Season End-of-Year competition where we pick the Photo of the Year from the past year’s competition’s 1st and 2nd place photographs! The event will be on Thursday, June 24, from 6:30 to 9:30 at the GWU-Ashburn campus in building Research 1 in the 4th floor Atrium. LPC will be providing food and refreshments while everyone visits and votes for their favorite photo of the year.

Join us for an evening to share photos and conversations with other members. Michelle Moomey will be doing a brief presentation about complementary colors ahead of our January photo competition. Unfortunately, Damon Hunt had to cancel his presentation on Fashion Photography. We will try to reschedule him sometime in the new year.
Currently scheduled location is GWU Bldg. 1 (map: 20101 Academic Way, Ashburn, 20147) in room RESRC1-101.

Loudoun Photography Club is excited to announce our photograph exhibit at The George Washington University Virginia Campus in Ashburn. (map: 20101 Academic Way, Ashburn, 20147) The Exhibit Opening Reception is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 2, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., in our regular meeting room (the gallery). This will be a great opportunity to to view the diversity in interests and styles of our club members.
